This Mezcal and Reposado driven drink is a crazy good take on the classic whiskey Old Fashioned. If you appreciate a good Mezcal (or even if you don’t), this slightly smokey drink it Tequilia forward with just a touch of Mezcal punch and a hint of orange. Be careful with this one… it’s good enough to have two… or three.

Oaxaca Old Fashioned

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Repasado Tequilia

  • 1/2 oz Mezcal

  • 1-2 TBSP Agave Nectar

  • 2-3 DASHES Angostura Bitters

  • Orange Peel

Instructions

  • Add all liquid ingredients plus ice to the large side of a shaker.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Double strain into a rocks glass with ice.
  • Garnish by expressing an orange peel into the drink and wipe it along the brim of the glass.
