minutesA Carolina-style vinegar based BBQ sauce for pulled pork (pork butt). What makes my pork butt so good? It’s definitely the BUTT STUFF™. I use this like a dressing as soon as the pork is pulled and also put it on the table with the other sauces.
Ingredients
2 CUPS – Cider Vinegar
2 TBSP – Dark Brown Sugar
1 TBSP – Heinz Ketchup
1 TBSP – Frank’s Red Hot
1 TSP – Red Pepper Flakes
1 TSP – Ground Black Pepper
1 TSP – Kosher Salt
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive sauce pan and bring to a boil. Stir frequently with a whisk until the sugar and salt is completely dissolved. Continue to boil for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cover.
- Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature.
Notes & Prep
- If possible, allow the sauce to rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours before use.
