Bourbon BBQ Sauce

This killer (smoke-free) BBQ sauce boasts a ton of tangy flavor and pairs well with red meat, pork, and poultry alike. I spent a couple years getting this one just where I want it for my smoked meats and how you enjoy it as much as I do!

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a small non-reactive saucepan, bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.

Notes & Prep

  • DO NOT COVER THIS SAUCE AS YOU COOK IT DOWN. THE BUILD-UP OF FUMES FROM THE SIMMERING ALCOHOL CAN CAUSE A FIRE. IF YOU DO COVER IT TO REDUCE SPLASHING, TAKE THE POT AWAY FROM THE FLAME BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE LID.
  • This sauce is best if made a day prior to use.
